[...] Don’t worry, this won’t be a post about semantics, but about an actual, freaking weird, coincidence that happened to me. You may remember that I dated a lesbian. It was a somewhat awkward relationship, awkward for her because she was a lesbian and I was not a woman, and awkward for me because she was a lesbian, and I was still not a woman. That was my junior year of high school, fast forward 6 years to present day, minus 2 months. [...]

[...] When I first started going out to the bars I wanted people to know how young I was, it was so cool for me to be in the bar, so I would ask questions that invited them to ask me how old I was, and I would answer honestly. Well, I quickly learned that girls don’t really like guys that are younger than them, in most cases. Nothing really surprising there, but it cemented the idea that had been floating around for a while, even though in high school I dated a girl that was older than me (albeit, she turned out to be a lesbian).
The funny thing is, I SOLD you that peach milkshake. You didn't even realize that I was working at Hardee's that summer to research my new book about older people working at fast food joints. Lucky for me I was able to disguise my voice when I took your order, and get someone else to actually hand you the food. I like Becca cause she called you DUDE. You are a dude, even if you like peach milkshakes.

I don't particularly remember the conversation, however, I do remember going to that Hardee's and getting the peach milkshake (they were so good), but I don't really remember that conversation taking place.

In fact, I only mildly remember the discontent that you held for her.

You should also include in here some where when you're discussing the "signs" of "Clinton's" possible homosexuality the fact that I told you straight up that she was a lesbian BEFORE you started dating her...not to mention a liar and a thief. So, you'll get no sympathy from me.

I remember that vividly. We were in my stupid ass black blazer, with no AC, no stereo and no rear view mirror, and we were getting peach milkshakes (well, you were, I got sweet tea) from the Hardee's on Laskin...and I said, "Dude, don't date her, she's a lesbian, a liar, and a thief" and you were all...you...and mumbled your way through something like, "okay, we'll see".

So, I guess in hindsight, not only was I right, but I was also the better prom date. Go me.
